Purpose of the Association

The association considers it its mission, in accordance with the

Constitution, to lay the groundwork for the establishment of an Islamic community

and to ensure its continued existence, in order to provide religious, pastoral, and sociocultural

support to the people of the Muslim faith living here. The association has set itself the task of establishing a mosque in Münster

that, in addition to its primarily religious function, will also offer opportunities

for interfaith and generally beneficial encounters, in order to

contribute to an intercultural society and to mutual understanding.

For this reason, the association places great importance on maintaining good relations not only with Muslim,

but also with non-Muslim groups and individuals, in order to help

dispel centuries-old prejudices and fears toward Islam and people

of the Muslim faith through education, so that

harmonious coexistence among all people living here can be maintained and

promoted.
